The Executive Director of Multinational Georgia, Alexandra Kalatozishvili participated in a virtual alumni event organized by the Open World Center functioning at the Library of the U.S.
Congress.
The teleconference was attended by representatives of organizations and governmental agencies working on inclusiveness issues, former US Ambassador to Georgia John Tefft, high-ranking
representatives of the US Department of State, Congress and the Embassy. Discussions addressed the issue of political, social and economic inclusion of vulnerable groups.
In her speech, PMMG Director focused on the political participation and electoral behavior of ethnic minorities in Georgia, including the recent 2020 Parliamentary Elections, and the challenges facing the country in this regard. Alexandra Kalatozishvili has also shared the
organization's vision for advancing the election environment in the country.
To note, Alexandra Kalatozishvili is an alumnus of the Open World Program. She was in Florida in 2011, and has also visited North Carolina in 2016 in a capacity of a facilitator of the above-
mentioned program.
