PMMG will observe over 200 electoral constituencies

The Public Movement ,,Multinational Georgia’’ (PMMG) will observe over 200 electoral constituencies in Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti during the Parliamentary Elections of 2016. 4 long term observers from the organizations will monitor the election process in electoral districts: Ninotsminda-Akhalkalaki district 1, districts Marneuli 1 and Marneuli 2. In the same constituencies, 187 observers of Multinational Georgia will observe the elections on 187 polling stations.

Hence, the PMMG will have one observer on each polling station. The observers will also monitor the activities of the Central Election Commission.

„Multinational Georgia’’ is involved in the election process and the transparency of election period in our country since 2003. Organization was involved in many types of elections, including elections in Ajara and so called South Ossetia region.

In 2012 Parliamentary Elections there were 428 observers in 17 Municipalities, during the last 2014 June 15 Local Elections 437 observers observed election process in 18 Municipalities, during the whole election day the organization actively spread information about the opening of the polling stations, the process of voting during the day, closing of the polling stations and the flaws and errors observed during the calculation of the votes.

During the 2016 Parliamentary Elections the ,,Multinational Georgia’’ is again planning to actively cooperate with media, local and international organizations and provide them with the shortcomings of pre-elections period, as well as to present on-time information about the shortcomings of the day of elections.

In addition, the PMMG continues to work on resource finding for monitoring the pre-election period and election day, as well as in order to increase the area of observation specifically to Bolnisi, Gardabna, Dmanisi, Tsalka, Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Aspindza, Adigena, Sagarejo, Akhmeta, Kvareli and Lagodekhi electoral constituencies.
